SMALL CABIN ON THE MOUNTAIN

Hytteliv is a Norwegian word that means  cabin life.  This is a blog that will provide articles and stuff about living a life in a rustic small cabin.  The blog will also features articles on do-it-yourself material, tips about products and equipment.

We are nature’s stewards  who like to be outside. We create stuff with wood – fire – earth – metal and water.

Aimee is a teacher and firmly believes that learning is a life-long process and that our experiences along the natural path of life can be our best teachers. Walk into her classroom and you will see children engaged in context-rich activities where learning is joyful, interactive and experiential.

Christian is a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  He is a Licensed Acupuncturist and National Certified Herbalist and enjoys making things. His journey has taken him from Norway to the Mountains of the Catskills where he is homesteading and raising chickens, turkeys and an adorable cat named snugly.
